Linking Diabetics Coast 2 Coast

If you haven't, I really recommend it. It's brilliant. It originated in Germany, I think, but has been rolled out in the UK over the last couple of years. DAFNE stands for Dose Adjustment For Normal Eating, and it's transformed the way I treat my diabetes (type one). You learn about how to count carbohydrates and inject accordingly, and although I'm now on five injections a day (two shots of background insulin, rather than just the one), it's made my life much more flexible.

More info here, http://www.dafne.uk.com/, if anyone's interested. But I really recommend it. I met a group of ten or so fellow type ones during the week-long course, and we're all now friends.

From the little I read it sounds like what I learned years ago from my CDE.

I just read your homepage sorry I thought you lived in USA. CDE = Certified Diabetes Educator, probably what you have is the equivalent.
