- last check less than an hour ago I was 93
- What was your funniest diabetic moment? If you never had a low, tell us something funny that happend to you.
- Just diagnosed last June so I haven't really had a "funny" low story as of yet. I'm sure I will thought at some point. I hit an unexpected 50 though today which comes close to my record so far of 44.
- What is your favorite snack to treat a low?
- God, well if it's a real bad low you're so ravenous you eat like a lion around a fresh kill. Anything tasty in front of me that has carbs I guess. Though I try to be reasonable and not go from 47-286 by eating a chocolate ice cream cake in a low induced stupor. If I'm in the 60s or 70s I try to use glucose tablets to get me into the zone without going overboard. And when I'm back in the 80s - 100 (hopefully) the ravenous hunger subsides.
- What kind of treatment are you on?
- MDI - Levemir flexpen for basal Novolog flexpen for bolus BTW I just noticed in my pic the orange Novolog flexpen is right next to me by the cell phone. Guess I just shot up!
