At 6:31am on January 11, 2009, lisa hickey said…: hi jen i just came across your page and was impressed to hear you were on a pump im in the same boat you were.I have one little girl who is 4 my a1c was high while i was pregant but thank god she was a small weight and she was and is still healthy.The problem is i want to have another baby and my doctor says my a1c is still to high its 9.2 at the moment he did suggest goin on the pump but has not said anything to me in a few months about it i dont know what i should do the doctor also told me if i got pregant now while a1c is high i could go blind im terrifed to get pregant now but id really love another baby if you could give me some advice that would be great

I run a home daycare business for children so I watch betwen 6-8 kids daily. keeps one active too. I go thru alot of stress as well but I seem to be controlling it better this past year that is due to my relationship with the Lord Jesus! would love to talk with you so write back soon mary ann

At 11:39pm on August 11, 2008, Jen said…: Well, I am a Type 1 veteran of 38 years - grew up with it, did the teenage thing with it and survived to go to college and survived that and went on to study, live and work in Europe - yes I was there right after the wall fell. And I survived that. Went on the pump in 2000 so that I could have a healthy pregnancy - did that and survived and my baby is healthy and now ready to go to kindergarten ! I have had a lot of stress in my life the past 3 years and would really like to connect to some "older" people who have been living with type one for a while.
Would like to trade war stories, etc. : )
