Day 1 of the Cleanse

Breakfast this morning was a chocolate flavored protein shake. 2 scoops of protein powder, 1/2 scoop of fiber powder, 9 oz of water, and a teaspoon of flax oil all mixed in the blender. Took about 5 minutes to prepare, drink, and rinse out the blender.

This was followed by a detox tea which I am still sipping on. Next meal is in 4-6 hours. I am thinking chicken salad. Cage-free boneless skinless organic chicken breasts, organic veggies: lettuce, baby spinach, shredded carrots, sliced onions, cr… Continue

Back to the Blog - Cleansing? Me?

It has been a few years now since I posted anything. Mainly because as my son got older I became less involved in his diabetes management. He is now 18 and feeling very independent. His diabetes management could still use some work, but I think he will be okay in the long run.

The reason I am starting this up again is because I am starting a dietary cleanse that I thought might be of interest to somebody out there. It is something my chiropractor recommended to me, and I tried it a few months a… Continue

Grabbing the Bull By the Horns

This will most likely be my final post on this blog, mainly due to lack of interest (my own). I started this blog last December. Christmas Eve if I remember correctly. I was frustrated
beyond belief. Nothing was going well. I really didn’t think my son
would live to see high school graduation. I was frustrated with my job.
I was frustrated with all of the problems caused by my sons school.
Most of all I was frustrated that the one piece of technology that
could really make

Climbing the Mountain

Chris returned from camp in good spirits and with new friends. He was home for a couple of weeks, and then it was time to return to camp. This time he would not be lounging around
the summer camp though, Chris and a select group of 5 other teens with
diabetes are climbing Mt. Whitney, the tallest mountain in California.
The peak is at something like 14,000 ft. He arrived at camp on
Saturday, and Sunday morning they started up the mountain. They should
be reaching the peak s

He Came, He Saw, He Conquered

I just drove 5 hours each way to pick up Chris from Bearskin Meadows summer camp. Him and 5 other diabetic teens and a few counselors spent the last week and a half climbing to the
peak of Mt. Whitney, the tallest mountain in the continental United
States. Chris did not want to go on this trip, and I half expected to
hear him complain all the way home about how hard it was, but I was
really suprised to hear that he totally loved it. He had a great time
up there, and one of

Jon: I have type II diabettes for 20 years. I now have nerve damage and pain in both lower legs and both hands. I don't want to go through the rest of my life with this pain. I have tried all pain drugs. Prolex DH liquid helped 90% for five hours and our government made Blansit delete it. Need advice. Bert Cantrell (marblemans@aol.com)

hello Jon well the easiest way to describe a flavor tech is that I take chemicals and combine them to make flavorings for the agriculture and petfood industries I work in a lab and we come up with and manufacture flavorings they are so concentrated that one pound of our flavoring will flavor two tons of finished feed
