What is your blood sugar right now?: feels like 150, actual 209, ate 75 minutes ago

What was your funniest diabetic moment? If you never had a low, tell us something funny that happend to you.: I was at the lunch table with my people. EVERYone wanted to know why, for once, I was quiet (sorry I am Irish and love to tell stories and carry on).... should I take that personally ?

What is your favorite snack to treat a low?: cranberry juice

What kind of treatment are you on?: I Pump humilog thru my Minimed 722 and I complain a lot

How did you find us?: search engine and the talk-fest site

I have been T1 a long time (geez about 30 years now) but I have only been treating myself well since late 2000. I’ve only been talking about my diabetes since 2003 and I only tried support groups and other stuff this year.

At 9:58am on September 17, 2007, kristina blake said…: I have gotten to know the guys from my station pretty well - I see them at the grocer's and have coffee with them. One of the paramedics was urious about my pump. I taught him a few things (that he has used on patients) and I am now preparing the CME In Service Training for paramedics in our dept. Since insurance is covering pumps, they are seeing them more often.
