If so, is it a bracelet or arm band? A necklace? A tattoo? Do you wear it all the time or just once in a while?

hmm

I think about this once in a while...

Currently I wear nothing... I still have the old bracelet from when I was a kid. But, wow I hated that thing.

I have thought of a tattoo though..

I used to wear a bracelet all the time, but recently the clasp broke and I haven't yet replaced it. I'm thinking about an anklet net time though because I really hated not being able to wear other bracelets that clashed with my medic alert.

I wear one, and the one time I needed it, the EMTs didn't bother to look for it. The EMT told me unless I was wearing a bracelet, they wouldn't look for it. It seems to me they would want to know something if they could, but then again, the same guys told me that he was instructed only to use orange juice unless the patient was out, in which case they had to use an IV injection of dextrose. He had never even heard of glucagon, and yet because orange juice is mostly fructose, it takes significantly longer to metabolize than dextrose found in tablets, but this is what they are training the people who work our ambulance crews! I guess its always best to be prepared regardless of how few EMTs actually look for them.

A relative of mine just became a volunteer in her town, and in her course, they taught them to pat the body down ( of an unconscious person) starting at the head, looking for a necklace, injuries, devices.
