Recently I injured my foot, and since then I've had trouble with swelling and water retention. I may have to change my regimen again. It's always a challenge to keep this delicate balance. I've also had a lot of reactions, lately, which indicates to me that the kidneys aren't doing as well. (Kidney doctor's told me this years ago) I just did a 24 hour urine test. Keep some good thoughts for me. I'm hoping a change in meds and/or diet will fix this problem.
Well, my kidney function is basically the same. Good! Eyes are the same, I won't be seeing the doctor for another 6 months. Good! Liver enzymes are up. She (My doctor) is going to check them again. She has no clue why this is happening. I don't know anything about the liver and diabetes. I have gained some weight, which I will work to take off. Has anyone heard about liver problems in diabetics? I don't use ibuprofen. I don't drink alcohol.
I developed a wound in the bottom of my left foot. I saw the foot doctor (so many different doctors) yesterday, and I have to stay off of it. I am using Silver Sulfadiazine and missing my middle daughter' s graduation. (a Master's in Speech Language Pathology) I had broken a bone in my right foot, so I put too much pressure on my left foot to compensate. I may not get to visit my Grandchildren before Thailand. But, there will be no Thailand if this doesn't heal. No dilemma here, the choices are clear. I have to heal. Sorry, I know life could be worse. I'm O.K.
