The Spot

I am 19 and a sophomore in College. I am studying to be an elementary teacher with an emphasis in art and religion. I love working with children. I'd rather be "poor" and love my job, than be rich and hate it. I am one of five kids, I have an older brother who got married this past December, an older sister who has been for a year and some months since September, I have a fraternal twin who goes to school in a different state but is also elem ed with early childhood emphasis and religion, and last but not least I have a younger sister that is completing her freshman year of high school (I'm say little sister, but she is indeed as tall as me, if not taller).

I was diagnosed with diabetes a month before my 7th birthday (I don't remember the exact date). So this June will be my 13th year anniversary. I have been on an insulin pump for 4 years, and hope I never have to go back to shots, I love it! Just upgraded to the minimed 722 (PURPLE!). Hope to get the CGM part somtime this year.

I am a Christian (LCMS). In all honestly believing in Christ and what he has won for me is what keeps me going though this life; knowing that the next life will be perfect. One of my favorite bible verses (I have many) is Revelation 21:4 "He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."
